FRANCE/TÜRKIYE. French luxury house Chanel has partnered with Maisons d’Art to create Sycomore, a special case housing the Sycamore Parfum from the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection. Only 20 numbered cases are available globally.
Chanel has collaborated with Lagardère Travel Retail to launch the expression in the Chanel Beauty Studio in Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2E.
It has also partnered with Gebr. Heinemann and Unifree to launch the novelty in the Chanel Fragrance & Beauty corner at Istanbul Airport.
This marks the fourth collaboration between Chanel and Maisons d’Art, following the Coromandel case in 2019, Beige in 2020 and Gardenia in 2021.
Chanel In-House Perfumer Creator Olivier Polge created the dedicated Sycomore Parfum exclusively for the limited-edition collaboration. The scent combines woody notes of vetiver, cedar and vanilla, with hints of iris and leather.
The fragrance is housed in a 50ml Baccarat crystal bottle embroidered by Maison Lesage artisans. The bottle is sealed and stamped with the house’s double C logo.
The embroidery by Maison Lesage and the case by Maison d’Art symbolise the rare raw materials used in the scent.
The case features amethyst beads and pearls, which represent the pink peppercorns and juniper berries in the fragrance. Wood shavings and golden threads also feature, mimicking the scent’s amber hue.
