Luxury fashion, beauty and fragrance house Chanel has unveiled Rouge Allure Velvet, a new lipstick line centred around the colour red. It was launched on 13 January and is now available in global travel retail.
Rouge Allure Velvet pays homage to the first red lipstick created by Gabrielle Chanel in 1942.
It offers available 20 light-reflecting, lip-conditioning shades. Infused with castor oil and shea butter, the lipstick offers continuous hydration throughout the day.

The collection features six red shades: Libre 62, Abstrait 69, La Favorite 43, Rouge Charnel 56, Rouge Feu 57 and Rouge Vie 58. From those six shades, the collection offers 14 additional colour variations that blends various tones and undertones from soft beiges to intense crimson.
The enhanced Rouge Velvet formula combines matte and luminous finishes. It delivers intense colour payoff with a long-lasting finish. The formula has been enhanced with pearly pigments that give each lipstick a velvety satin feel. ✈Note: The Moodie Davitt Report has launched an e-newsletter, Beauty Curated, in association with Shiseido.
