The 2024 WOWS Catalogue

Highland Park 54 Year Old

Highland Park 54 Year Old represents a heritage of artisanal skill, with its origins in Orkney, Scotland.

This limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky is a tribute to the 225-year history of Highland Park Distillery. It features a specially designed decanter and packaging, inspired by the ancient geological layers of the Cliffs of Yesnaby to reflect the region’s 400-million-year geological history.

Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion enhanced the whisky’s character and colour by moving the original 1968 casks into first-fill sherry-seasoned casks. Fourteen years of careful maturation resulted in this premium whisky, with only 225 bottles available – one for every year of its history.

The whisky is characterised by its deep autumnal russet colour, with an intensely sweet, rich and complex taste. It has a rich aroma of lychees, aromatic camphor, vintage oak, crushed cumin and coriander seeds, fragrant rose, sweet jasmine, honeyed kiwi fruit, pistachio biscotti, fenugreek and delicate heathery peat smoke.

Only one bottle is available exclusively at WOWS for S$73,000 (US$56,559).

The Macallan Horizon

The Macallan Horizon is a collaboration between The Macallan and Bentley Motors, merging their expertise in rare single malt whisky and automotive design.

Produced from six key materials central to both, the expression showcases the craftsmanship and shared commitment to quality that underpin this collaboration.

Featuring a horizontal design, The Macallan Horizon deviates from traditional vertical whisky bottle aesthetics, inspired by the horizontal trajectory of the automotive world, honouring the heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors while looking towards the future.

With a dark mahogany colour, The Macallan Horizon offers a rich aroma of polished oak, plums, dark cherries and fresh leather, complemented by dried fruits, cinnamon and nutmeg. Its palate is indulgent, featuring dark treacle, cinder toffee, crystallised ginger and charred pineapple, balanced with sweet vanilla, fudge and dark chocolate-coated Brazil nuts. The finish is long and complex, with a warm oak spice.

Only one bottle is available exclusively at WOWS for S$66,800 (US$51,725).

Bowmore Vaults 1971 51 Year Old

Bowmore Vaults 1971 51 Year Old is a limited-edition single malt whisky from Islay, Scotland, first aged in sherry-seasoned European oak casks and then finished in an Oloroso sherry butt for another three years. This careful maturation process creates a depth of character that reflects Bowmore’s rich tradition.

Featuring a deep mahogany hue, the whisky symbolises a rich legacy from the 1970s, a period marked by important improvements under Stanley P. Morrison’s ownership. A renowned Glasgow whisky broker, Morrison led the installation of new equipment that elevated Bowmore’s status.

The 1971 Vaults expression encapsulates the defining features of this time, blending the aged union of spirit and oak into a multifaceted whisky.

Two bottles are available exclusively at WOWS for S$62,000 (US$48,005).

Hibiki 40 Year Old

Hibiki 40 Year Old features what is described as “harmony born from mastery and precision”.

The founding family of Japanese whisky highlights an aged expression that embodies a blossoming of experience, marked by delicacy, freshness, agility and confidence.

This blend offers layers of complex aromas of dried apricot with hints of lemon peel and clove, flavours of subtle yuzu and acacia honey, finishing with a soothing incense aroma spiced with cinnamon and Mizunara (Japanese Oak).

Limited bottles are available at WOWS for S$60,000 (US$46,453)

Mortlach x Starck L’Evolution Collection ‘Begin & Beyond’

The Mortlach x Starck L’Evolution Collection ‘Begin & Beyond’ is a celebratory release marking 200 years of the Mortlach distillery, featuring a collaboration with Philippe Starck as its inaugural Creative Director.

This limited-edition set, a tribute to distiller Alexander Cowie, highlights a journey of evolution.

Described as rare and magnetic, the duo illustrates a “timeless story of humanity through two distinct manifestations”.

Begin represents the first drops of ‘new make’ spirit from the renowned 2.81 distillation, a limited offering only a few have had the privilege to taste.

This barley spirit features a robust and bold character, with smooth layers of sweetness, umami notes of pepper and pear, and a meaty, spicy finish.

Begin is paired with Beyond, a complex, rich and meaty whisky developed through a long maturation in casks from five transformative eras.

Starck said: “Since its creation, the brand has been inventing and exploring new territories, crafting whiskies that are incredibly rich without gimmick or superfluous elements. This was a profound revelation for me, as Mortlach clearly already belonged to the future. The evolution story of Mortlach takes a leap forward into modernity, with the elegance of nature and the magic of science serving humanity.”

Two sets are available exclusively at WOWS for S$13,800 (US$10,678).

Talisker 30 Year Old

Established nearly 200 years ago on the shores of the Isle of Skye, Talisker captures the spirit of its rugged, coastal environment.

The distillery was established by the MacAskill brothers in 1830 after they rowed from Eigg to Skye, and their adventurous legacy still resonates within the brand today.

With only 2,610 bottles available globally, the Talisker 30 Year Old offers a sweet smoky profile enhanced by a peppery note.

A highly anticipated release offers a gentle peppery kick with wisps of sea smoke. Produced by the acclaimed distillery on the Isle of Skye, this latest release upholds the signature characteristics of the Talisker 30 Year Old. The expression celebrates three decades of maturation and the very peak of Skye.

This spirit’s distinct peppery note reflects Skye’s mountains and coast, while the sweet smoke reveals the untamed beauty from the summit.

The Talisker 30 Year Old has consistently received honours, with the 2022 release winning Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Competition, Double Gold at the International Spirits Challenge, and Master at the Scotch Whisky Masters.

Twelve bottles are available exclusively at WOWS for S$2,200 (US$1,703).
