Changi Airport launches new Rewards programme for consumers

SINGAPORE. Changi Airport Group (CAG) has announced the launch of Changi Rewards, a programme to reward shoppers and diners at Singapore Changi Airport.

Changi Rewards members earn one point for every dollar spent on retail, food & beverage and selected services at Changi Airport. These exclude banks, money changing facilities, card top-up facilities, medical services, airline lounges, transit hotels, Post-on-Wheels, postage services, Crowne Plaza Hotel and other services as determined by CAG from time to time. Points accumulated on the Changi Rewards card can then be exchanged for Changi Airport Dollar vouchers.

And for every 300 points accumulated between 13 March and 31 December this year shoppers will be entitled to one chance to participate in the Grand Draw for a Volvo XC60.

With more than 200 retail and 100 dining outlets located across its four terminals, shoppers will be able to accumulate points for purchases made at a wide array of shops located at both the transit and public areas.

The Changi Rewards programme kicks off on 13 March but early applications will be accepted at the NATAS Travel 2010, Singapore’s largest travel fair, which will be held at the Singapore Expo this weekend from 26 to 28 February. Visitors who sign up at the CAG booth at the fair will receive a chance to participate in the Grand Draw for a Volvo XC60 and also take home a free gift.

Applications can also be made online at ChangiRewards.com or at Changi Rewards kiosks located in the Departure Halls of all four Changi terminals from 13 March.

The Changi Rewards programme is open to all adults residing in Singapore. A minimum of 300 points is required for the first-tier redemption of a S$10 (US$7) Changi Airport Dollar voucher, while 600 points can be exchanged for a S$30 (US$21) voucher.

“With attractive redemption rates of points for vouchers, Changi Rewards offers shoppers and diners great value for their spending at Changi Airport. This is over and above ongoing promotions carried out regularly and prices at the airport that are as much as -40% lower than downtown stores,” said CAG.

Voucher redemptions can be made at the Changi Rewards redemption booth located at Terminal 3 Departure Hall (near Check-in Row 11). Points earned in 2010 must be redeemed by 31 January 2011.
