The new body and after sun products from Clarins |
FRANCE. Clarins has expanded its body care portfolio with a new Body Shaping Supplement. It bowed in the US in January, and is launching this month in Europe, before rolling out to the Middle East in March and Australia in June.
The Body Supplement is described as the first line which adds a shaping action to all moisturising/fragranced body care products, resulting in less unwanted “sponginess”, with less effort, in less time.
A few drops of the formula, mixed with any regular body care product, is enough to enrich it with an effective shaping action, according to Clarins.
The gel formula is said to mix perfectly with all textures – lotion, cream or oil – although it is not recommended for use with self tanner, in case the uniformity of colour is affected.
The Body Shaping Supplement features seven key botanicals for maximum effectiveness, along with caffeine, well known for its role in the release of lipids.
It is presented in 2 x 25ml vials, each complete with a push-button top and measuring tip, for optimal delivery and mixing.
In other news, Clarins has revamped its after sun portfolio, with the launch of a new after sun skin soother range. It is launching this month in Europe, and will enter the US in March, before rolling out to Asia and the Middle East in April, followed by Australia in September.
The products have been reformulated to give skin exactly what it needs to counter the harmful effects of daytime exposure to sun, wind and salt, Clarins maintains.
The formulas contain an exclusive “anti-heat” active ingredient from sunflower seed. There is also a new SOS Sunburn Soother, said to work like a “sun bandage”, repairing, refreshing and comforting over-exposed skin.
The new Sun Soother range comprises an Ultra-Hydrating After Sun Moisturizer, a Self Tanning After Sun Moisturizer, an Ultra-Soothing After Sun Gel, an After Sun Replenishing Moisture Care for Face and Décolleté and the SOS Sunburn Soother.
