Clarins firms up foundation offer and updates Beauty Flash Balm

FRANCE. Clarins has extended its Extra-Firming franchise with a new anti-ageing make-up product, aimed primarily at women in their forties. Extra-Firming Foundation SPF15 features plant extracts that deliver effective firming and smoothing actions, to both enhance the complexion and care for the skin, according to the brand.

Clarins extends its Extra-Firming portfolio with a new foundation and injects some sparkle into its iconic Beauty Flash Balm

In particular, the formula contains a “Light-Optimizing+” complex, which reflects light and optically “erases” imperfections. The foundation also contains oat sugars – a tightening agent said to help firm, smooth and define features – and greater plantain extract, to help inhibit glycation (one of the factors involved in skin ageing).

Hydration is delivered in the form of a plant-based micro patch, while white tea extract helps to protect against pollution and free radicals.

Extra-Firming Foundation SPF15, available in 11 shades, delivers medium coverage with a satin finish. It is presented in a 30ml rectangular pump-action frosted glass bottle.

In other news, Clarins is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic Beauty Flash Balm with a limited-edition version decorated with Crystallized Swarovski Elements. It will be available from September.

Beauty Flash Balm has been one of the brand’s top 10 best-sellers for three decades and, according to Clarins, one is sold somewhere in the world every 20 minutes.
