In particular, the formula contains a “Light-Optimizing+” complex, which reflects light and optically “erases” imperfections. The foundation also contains oat sugars – a tightening agent said to help firm, smooth and define features – and greater plantain extract, to help inhibit glycation (one of the factors involved in skin ageing).
Hydration is delivered in the form of a plant-based micro patch, while white tea extract helps to protect against pollution and free radicals.
Extra-Firming Foundation SPF15, available in 11 shades, delivers medium coverage with a satin finish. It is presented in a 30ml rectangular pump-action frosted glass bottle.
In other news, Clarins is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic Beauty Flash Balm with a limited-edition version decorated with Crystallized Swarovski Elements. It will be available from September.
Beauty Flash Balm has been one of the brand’s top 10 best-sellers for three decades and, according to Clarins, one is sold somewhere in the world every 20 minutes.
