Italian leathergoods company Coccinelle recorded a +12% increase in full-year sales in 2023. Retail channel (full price and outlet) sales climbed by +5% and wholesale by +19%.
The brand recorded growth across all markets and channels, particularly in its home country of Italy, which accounted for 44% of total sales. The rest of Europe accounted for 39%.
According to Coccinelle, Asia Pacific, which representede 10% of total sales, represents an exciting expansion opportunity.

In 2023, Coccinelle opened ten stores and refurbished 13 in line with its revamped brand strategy, among them three stores in Mainland China.
Other stores opened at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. Bologna Airport, Düsseldorf Airport, Vienna International Airport and Dalaman International Airport in 2023.
The brand also introduced an updated store concept at Rome Fiumicino (Schengen Zone), which features mixed materials, shapes and colours that express its feminine and contemporary style.
Leather bags represented 70% of Coccinelle’s sales, while small leathergoods and mini bags grew to 22% in 2023. Shoes, a new category launched in 2023, now represent 5% of sales.

Coccinelle has 1,300 points-of-sale globally. These include 116 monobrand stores, multibrand stores and travel retail locations across 44 countries worldwide. ✈
