INDIA. Cochin Duty Free has launched a last-minute shop and ‘Shop on Wheels’ in Cochin International Airport Terminal 3 Departures, operated under a management contract by Alpha Kreol India (joint venture between Dubai-based Kreol Group and Avolta).
The ‘Shop on Wheels’ buggy is a moving duty-free shop that roams the airport concourse, showcasing a curated product collection.
Passengers can conveniently browse perfumes, chocolates, handicrafts and other items without leaving the waiting area near their gate.
Alpha Kreol India Director Lal Arakulath commented: “We have an approximate 10,000sq ft Arrivals shop and an approximate 3,000sq ft Departures shop. This goes one step ahead in creating extra opportunities for shoppers.”
Cochin International Airport Managing Director S. Suhas said: “These additions are designed to elevate the shopping experience for passengers.
