Rémy Cointreau last night marked the 170th anniversary of orange liqueur Cointreau in colourful style, with a gala evening in Paris. The event attracted close to 400 guests, among them senior management from Rémy Cointreau, retail partners, influencers and international media, including The Moodie Davitt Report representing travel retail.
At the heart of the experience at the Pavillon Elysée was the colourful Cointreau Cocktail Show, which displayed the art of cocktail making to guests.

Brand Heritage Manager Alfred Cointreau, a member of the sixth generation of the family, and Master Distiller Carole Quinton, introduced selected guests to the brand through an engaging cocktail-making workshop. Later, a series of cocktail experiences took place at the venue – and will continue until 16 June with Cointreau fans invited to attend masterclasses, workshops and other events.

As reported, ‘Le Cocktail Show’ has also come to travel retail, initially through a partnership with Gebr Heinemann at Copenhagen Airport in April. This invited travellers to ‘be part of the mix’, highlighting Cointreau’s heritage, panache and versatility in its anniversary year. The activation will roll out to selected airports elsewhere from August, the company said.

On the night, Board Member Dominique Hériard Dubreuil welcomed guests, noting her “pleasure and joy at celebrating 170th anniversary of Cointreau.”
Rémy Cointreau CEO Liqueurs & Spirits Jean-Denis Voin said: “Cointreau is a very vibrant brand and we want to show that tonight. Tonight is about sharing and we want you all to be ‘part of the mix’ as we mark this anniversary.”
