Colm McLoughlin funeral details revealed as special travel retail Smile Train fund created in his memory

IRELAND. The funeral of Colm McLoughlin, Dubai Duty Free’s long-time Executive Vice Chairman and CEO and one of travel retail’s greatest statesmen, will be held in Ennis, Ireland on Thursday 21 November (see full notice below).

For those unable to attend the funeral in person, the Mass can be viewed live https://www.ennisparish.com/our-parish/web-cam/

A commemoration will also be held in Dubai in December.

As reported, Colm, who retired on 31 May after precisely 55 years in the travel retail sector, passed on 30 October in the UK at age 81.

In a beautiful gesture, the family has asked that any donations be made to cleft charity Smile Train, a cause close to the travel retail community’s heart and which Colm supported passionately from 2007 until he passed. In conjunction with Smile Train we have arranged a specific travel retail donation link here. Any donation, large or small is appreciated. ✈

Note: There has been an extraordinary outpouring of grief and respect for Colm on The Moodie Davitt Report’s LinkedIn page. Readers can leave their tributes there which are being passed on to his family. Alternatively you can write to Colm’s son Niall at niallmc@mail.com
