Color Line launches its largest vessel yet – 27/09/07

A promenade featuring retail and food & beverage outlets runs for 163m through the ship


NORWAY. Leading ferry company Color Line has launched M/S Color Magic, the world’s largest cruise ship with a car deck. Magic is the sister ship to M/S Color Fantasy.

Color Line said the ship was custom built for shorter cruises with “an emphasis on the on board experience”.

The ship houses a 163m long main artery or “promenade” comprising retail units, bars and restaurants. It features speciality stores, branded outlets including a Fashion Boutique, a Color Shop and a major beauty outlet. A large duty free store is also located on the deck below. There are also eight restaurants and a range of bars.

Color Magic has 966 cabins on board, from Owner’s Suites, Fantasy Class, Ocean view, Promenade view to standard inside cabins.

The ship is equipped with a 1,600sq m conference centre and a permanent 1,400sq m exhibition area.
The Color Spa & Fitness Center includes comprehensive gym and spa facilities with spa treatments, hair salon, Jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna and massage chairs.

Aqualand is a pool adventure for children of all ages, while in the golf simulator guests can test their skills at a wide selection of courses.

The Magic Show Lounge presents two shows per evening, while there is also a casino and an Adventure Planet that features video games.
