CONFECTIONERY: Nestlé gears up for Orlando

SWITZERLAND. At IAADFS, Nestlé will be launching several new lines within its existing portfolio:

Smarties
Children’s gifting is still one of the largest confectionery growth opportunities within travel retail, and Nestlé have capitalised on their previous success with Winnie The Pooh Figurines and Plush pack by launching the new Smarties Winnie The Pooh Big Plush and Smarties/Disney colouring kit.

The new 10inch/25cm Winnie the Pooh Big Plush comes with five individual 40g tubes of Smarties, while the Smarties/Disney Colouring Kit now comes with a fun Disney colouring book and pencil crayons as well as 11 individual boxes of Smarties.

Another gift for young children is the Smarties Travel Cup, which is reusable and comes packed with 200g of Smarties, complete with drinking straw and a choice of four different coloured lids.

And finally, the new Smarties Sharing Pack is a handy, easy to carry pack that contains 31 individual boxes of Smarties Minis.

The Smarties products will be available in many worldwide airports and duty-free stores including locations in Canada and Latin America.

Kit Kat
The sharing pack is also available for Kit Kat. 29 individual Kit Kat minis come in an easy to carry pack, ideal for sharing. The Kit Kat Minis Sharing Pack will also be available in worldwide locations including Canada and Latin America.

After Eight
After 40 years, After Eight is still the market leader in the after dinner mint segment. 2002 saw the launch of After Eight Biscuits in a premium presentation tin. This year sees the addition of the After Eight Biscuit Twin Pack containing two 100g packs of thin biscuits covered in dark mint After Eight chocolate, exclusive to travel retail.

Nestlé/Disney 100g Swiss Chocolate Bars and Trio-Pack
This line has also been given a new look with updated wrapper designs featuring well-loved Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. The Trio-Pack includes a new cardboard jigsaw puzzle game.

The Rowntree/Disney Gummies tin has been given new play value, and now comes as a colourful and re-usable Twisting Tin, exclusive to travel retail. The tin contains 250g of tangy and chewy Rowntree Gummies in four different flavours and various Disney shapes.

Cailler of Switzerland
Cailler is the premium chocolate brand in Nestlé’s portfolio. For travel retail, Nestle offers a range of exclusive packs including the best-seller Cailler Napolitains Gift Pack 500g and Cailler Gift Pack 200g.

Nestlé’s own finest Swiss chocolate
This is available in six varieties of 400g bars and three varieties of 100g bars. The 400g bars are exclusive to travel retail and offer a great gift for the chocolate lover.
