FRANCE. Lancôme has extended its Absolue anti-ageing range with two new products: Absolue Anti-Taches Concentrate and Absolue Mains SPF15. Both treatments have been designed to visibly erase existing age spots – and to help prevent the appearance of new ones. They are targeted at women aged around 55 and over. According to Lancôme, over 90% of Caucasian women in this age-group suffer from brown pigmentation spots, which are caused by sun exposure and the ageing process.
Absolue Anti-Taches Concentrate is designed for use on the face, neck and decolleté; Absolue Mains for the hands. Both products feature a Mela-NO Complex, said to reduce nitrogen oxide (NO), which is thought to be a significant factor in the pigmentation process. Other active ingredients include wild yam, soya and sea algae, the “bio-network” that forms the basis of the Absolue range. Skin is left radiant, nourished, reconstructed and reactivated, according to the company – with a visible reduction in brown spots after eight weeks’ use.
Absolute Anti-Taches Concentrate and Absolue Mains SPF15 are available now in European travel retail, and will be rolled out to the Americas in March. The recommended travel retail price points are €89.10 (US$81) and €39.30 (US$34), respectively.
Also new from the L’Oréal group is an extension to Helena Rubinstein’s Stellars make-up range. The Stellars Jewel Collection has been designed to further capitalise on the booming lip gloss segment, and reinforce the brand as “the shine specialist”. The formula features flecks of glitter which create a multi-coloured, holographic effect.
The Stellars Gloss Jewel Collection – which comprises seven shades – is available now in European and Americas travel retail, priced at €17/US$17. It will enter Japanese travel retail in March, priced at Â¥2,100.
