UK. MAC has unveiled a new seasonal colour collection called Hipnotique, which is being rolled out worldwide from this month.
The palette centres around gold shimmering shades, complemented by pale pastels and contrasted with brighter blue/purple hues.
Limited edition lipstick shades include Pink Aura, Bare Trance and Flashtronic. Fibre Rich Lash Mascara gets a new twist with shades of Wild Indigo (rich blue) and Cosmic Cool (dark burgundy).
New for this season is Shadebender, described as a sheer lipgloss overlaid with a special effects tinted gold sheen. Available in two shades (Sorcery and Iridescently), when applied over lip colour its “adds gloss, shifts the colour and bends the shade”, according to MAC.
Also new from the Lauder group is Clinique Kissing Colours Colour Surge Lipstick Trio. A travel retail exclusive, the set features three Colour Surge lipsticks, in the best-selling shades of Pure Posh, Dreamy Pink and Extreme Pink. Colour Surge Lipstick is Clinique’s latest lipstick formula. It is claimed to provide intense but comfortable long-wearing coverage.
