Coty has revealed Perfect, the latest feminine fragrance from Marc Jacobs. The new scent takes inspiration from designer Marc Jacobs’ mantra of ‘I am perfect as I am,’ which is represented by the word ‘perfect’ tattooed on his wrist.
The Perfect Marc Jacobs Eau De Parfum is available in 50ml and 100ml fragrance bottle formats and a 5ml and 10ml mini-spray bottle. The scent is also available as a body lotion and body cleanser. The fragrance line was launched in worldwide travel retail on 1 August.
Commenting on his self-love philosophy, Marc Jacobs said: “I put it there to remind me that when I’m looking at myself and wishing that I could be stronger in this way or better at that thing, I can just say no, I’m exactly how I need to be right now. So perfect.”
Perfect Marc Jacobs is described as a modern, bright and feminine fragrance. It was created by IFF Perfumer Domitille Michalon-Bertier and offers an unconventional combination of fresh floral and calming olfactory elements. It opens with rhubarb and bright daffodil top notes, followed by almond milk heart notes and with dry down cedarwood and cashmeran as its base.
The crystal-cut bottle cap is decorated with an eclectic mix of colourful charms, each one selected by Jacobs himself. This is juxtaposed with an elegant weighted glass bottle and gilded collar. The matte blush pink carton pays tribute to classic perfumerie packaging and features an illustration by New York-based Artist Jacky Blue.
The campaign stars British model Lila Moss — daughter of Kate Moss — alongside 42 rising stars selected during a social media casting call in New York City. The striking campaign was shot by world-renowned fashion photographer Jürgen Teller and was creative directed by acclaimed art director Katie Grand.
