Coty has unveiled Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, the latest limited-edition fragrance from Gucci.

The new scent offers a gardenia and lavender twist to the popular Gucci Flora fragrance collection. It will launch in worldwide travel retail on 1 July in 50ml and 100ml formats.

Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia opens with sparkling notes of red berries, followed by floral heart notes of white gardenia and creamy frangipani flowers, with patchouli and brown sugar notes as its base.

The limited-edition bottle design features a hexagonal, lavender-coloured flacon, offset by black Gucci lettering and matching black bow.

The bottle comes in a box decorated in the house’s archival floral pattern. The pattern was famously designed by Italian illustrator Vittorio Accornero de Testa for Princess Grace of Monaco in 1966. It has since become one of the house’s key motifs. According to the brand, the design represents ‘new life, femininity and sensuality’.

The fragrance launch is supported by a new media campaign starring Russian model Unia Pakhomova. The striking visuals were shot in a surreal style by French photography duo Pierre et Gilles.

The campaign sees Pakhomova in a whimsical garden tableau, with the original scent perched in her hand. Meanwhile, the 2020 limited-edition scent is presented on a white pillar covered in delicate flower arrangements.
