CYPRUS. Aer Rianta International (ARI) has unveiled a new ecommerce platform for Cyprus Duty Free. The launch this month is a response “to the increased demand for digital solutions and online convenience for the post-pandemic shopper,” said the retailer.
The “intuitive and responsive” online store allows customers to enjoy a choice of delivery solutions, including ‘Shop before you Fly’, ‘Click and Collect’ and new options like eLocker pick-up. Piloted in Bahrain Duty Free, the eLocker pick-up will be rolled out across the ARI estate over the coming year.
Customers can shop online from their own home from one month up to 24 hours ahead of travelling through Larnaka Airport, and from one month up to 72 hours in advance of travelling through Pafos Airport.

Cyprus Duty Free General Manager Andrew Baker said: “The launch of this new online platform further underpins our commitment to adapt, grow and enhance our retail proposition for the ever-evolving traveller. We put the customer at the heart of everything we do, and our new ecommerce platform allows customers to enjoy our world-class shopping experience at their fingertips.”
As well as offering beauty, fashion & accessories and wines & spirits, the acclaimed Kypriaka destination concept is brought to life online. It acts as a showcase for local products, including whiskey, brandy and spirits created exclusively for Cyprus Duty Free.
Accelerated advancement in the digital space is a key pillar in ARI’s redefined Customer Value Proposition (CVP). Other CVP elements include sustainability, convenience, hyperconnectivity, locality and Sense of Place. Read more about the strategy in an interview with ARI Deputy CEO Anthony Kenny at this link.
