Davidoff has extended its Winston Churchill cigar range with the launch of The Raconteur, a new limited edition line of Gran Toro cigars.
Named after Sir Winston Churchill’s talent as a wordsmith, the cigars celebrate some of his most renowned and memorable sayings. Described as “uniquely diverse in character as the man who inspired them”, the cigars carry one of Churchill’s quotes on their second ring.
The Raconteur Gran Toro cigar harmonises tobaccos from Nicaragua, Mexico, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. It features a shiny and oily Habano Ecuador wrapper and is said to offer nutty flavours that give way to a creaminess.

Featuring a complex aroma, roasted notes, hints of pepper, oakwood and leather, The Raconteur echoes other cigars in the Winston Churchill line but offers a more intense flavour, according to Davidoff. The 56-ring gauge and the Piloto Visus are said to help make the concentration of flavour and aroma last the whole way through.
Only 6,000 wooden boxes, each containing ten cigars with a different quote, have been created. A white design featuring Churchill’s silhouette decorates the boxes.

The Raconteur range is being launched this month in the USA and will be available from February/March 2016 at Davidoff Depositaires and Davidoff Flagship Stores worldwide.
