Davidoff Cigars has revealed its latest Travel Humidor, Explorer; the first of three new designs, with Business and Urban to follow later this year and early in 2025, respectively.
According to Davidoff, the striking new styles, which feature innovative technology, will reinvigorate and enhance the brand’s travel humidor category.
The products follow Davidoff’s 2017 launch of a Travel Humidor that combined function with style and cutting-edge technology with high-quality lightweight materials.
Oettinger Davidoff CEO Edward Simon said the brand’s latest humidors “take design innovation to a next level, allowing aficionados to choose a piece that suits not only their cigar needs, but also their own preferences and style”. While the humidor’s primary purpose is to safely transport cigars to their destination, “it is also a true statement piece for the traveller”, he added.
The Davidoff Travel Humidor “revolutionises cigar travel and ensures that cigars arrive at their destination in style and perfect condition”. It features a smart tray exclusively created for Davidoff. With an innovative wave design, it can be flexibly adjusted to hold and safely transport up to eight cigars, depending on the format.
Laminated fabric, welded components and a Boveda two-way humidity control pack maintain the ideal humidity inside the humidor for 45 days.
The Explorer design is influenced by colours and activities found in a forest, with nature-inspired dark green and contrasting orange aspects, such as the looped straps around the humidor. The humidor fits comfortably into any suitcase and targets outdoor use through matt-finished golden hook closures and a carabiner, which provides each attachment to a backpack.
The Davidoff Travel Humidor Explorer will be available from 18 July at selected Davidoff appointed merchants and flagship stores around the world. ✈
