Deadline nears to create your dream chocolate recipe with Rosalie’s for Cannes

Entries close on Friday 9 September for an inventive industry competition led by Manufacture Belge de Chocolats’ brand Rosalie’s, with the opportunity to have your own chocolate recipe hand-crafted by a master chocolatier.

As reported, the company is inviting anyone working in travel retail to demonstrate their creativity via a competition in association with The Moodie Davitt Report, culminating at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

Entries will be assessed by Manufacture Belge de Chocolats’ Chef Chocolatier, Noel Le Jeune, who will select the winners based on taste and creativity. He will then handcraft the chocolates as a personalised edition. The winners will be announced (and receive ten gift-boxes of their creations as prizes) on the Rosalie’s stand, Yellow Village A17, on each of the first three days of TFWA World Exhibition.

Rosalie’s is rolling out across major European and Middle Eastern airports

The winning chocolate will be available for all to sample during the prize-giving event only, making this an exclusive opportunity.

Entries are encouraged until the 9 September deadline.

The rules are simple: create your own dream chocolate recipe. If you have a myriad of ideas, you can submit multiple recipes, though only one can be a winner. Ideas can be submitted at this link.

Collaboration is allowed, so you can team up with your colleague or friends; however, entrants must work in the travel retail industry. The only restriction is that recipes should not contain either alcohol or peanuts.

By submitting a recipe you accept that you have no copyright over any ingredient(s) used. The decision of the Chef Chocolatier is final.

Rosalie’s will announce, and celebrate, one selected recipe each day at 17.45 hrs on the first three days of TFWA World Exhibition. The winning chocolates will be available for all to taste only during the event, complemented by wines from Duty Free Global.

If any winner is not attending Cannes they can join the awards ceremony virtually.

Speaking on behalf of Manufacture Belge de Chocolats, brand representative Gerry Murray said: “We have had a great response to the initiative which we came up with to have a little fun during difficult times. We have received some very appreciative comments from industry colleagues and already some very impressive entries. We encourage everyone to take part, either individually or as part of a group. We wish you all good luck and loving kindness in your endeavours.”

Manufacture Belge de Chocolats is growing distribution in the duty free and travel retail channel, led by its recently developed Rosalie’s brand.
