US. More than three million passengers used Denver International Airport in January, the second consecutive month that Denver has set a month-over-month record.
January’s passenger figure was a +11.1% increase from January 2003.
The increased traffic in Denver mirrors trends across the US as more leisure travellers return, business travel inches up and low-fare carriers keep prices low.
Denver’s co-manager of aviation Vicki Braunagel said: “We will continue to foster even more competition for the benefit of the consumer.”
