Porsche Design Eyewear has introduced new frames across its Carbon Fibre, Liquid Titanium and Cyber Tec collections, which are available online and at key travel retail locations.
In the Carbon Fibre range, which takes inspiration from the brand’s motorsport heritage, the models are made of carbon fibres, stainless steel and rubber. Red, blue, grey or black highlights on the inside of the temple and the temple tip emphasise the different material structures used.
Carbon fibre is a popular material in the automotive industry as it is lightweight, stable and corrosion resistant – properties that also enhance the durability of eyewear. Woven carbon fibres are used as design element in the frames, while the combination of carbon fibres, stainless steel and rubber at the temple balances stability and flexibility.
New aviator-style sunglasses have been introduced to this range, as well as two prescription frames, each available in four colour combinations.
The frame designs in the Liquid Titanium range are inspired by the flyline of the Porsche 911. Made of 100% titanium, the frames are lightweight and comfortable. The three-dimensional temples create a contrast between light and shadow, which is evocative of ‘flowing metal’. The latest additions to this range are the Squared Aviator sunglasses and round sunglasses with a double bridge, as well as two prescription frames: square and nylor.
The design concept of the Cyber Tec range is inspired by the outline of a futuristic automobile, while the temple elements of the frames are reminiscent of the rear lights of Porsche 911. It combines RXP plastic with stainless steel to ensure stability and lightness.
The functional three-dimensional temple has a stainless-steel core, ensuring flexibility and comfort. The square stainless-steel jaw in contrasting colour links to the temple. Porsche Design has added two new sunglasses and two prescription frames to this range. ✈
