Design meets technology: Rodenstock unveils ‘The Sun Concept’ range

The 12-piece collection of feminine and masculine sunglasses are equipped with the brand’s innovative SunContrast Lenses

German eyewear house Rodenstock has unveiled The Sun Concept range.

The collection combines design-led frames with high-quality Sun Protect lenses, blending Rodenstock’s two core competencies.

The collection comprises 12 frames, all equipped with the brand’s SunContrast lenses in four different tints.

The women’s styles feature two-toned butterfly silhouettes. Some notable design details from the feminine styles include rose gold frames, Dynamic Red lenses and a slightly transparent acetate edge.

The men’s models come in minimalist designs, some with rivets and a metal bridge. Two men’s styles come in the brand’s Dusty Green and Autumn Green colourways. Autumn Green is a brand new lens colour, recently introduced by Rodenstock.

The feminine styles feature an elegant butterfly shape and acetate frames, with some available in a trendy rose gold colourway

All lenses have been equipped with Rodenstock’s SunContrast Lenses which offer UV400 protection and better contrast perception, making them ideal for use in bright light or changing weather conditions. The lenses also absorb blue light components, ensuring less glare and rich warm colour impressions.

“Sunglasses are a core part of the travel retail offer due to their innate link with the magic and excitement of travel itself,” commented Rodenstock Director Global Retail & International Key Accounts Eyewear Lucas Gestin.

“As shoppers are returning to stores, we are seeing a hunger for new and exciting products and the Rodenstock Sun Contrast provides that with a perfect blend of impeccable design with cutting-edge technology.

“As travel recovers, we look forward to helping our partners to rebuild this market with fresh and engaging releases which will enthral customers and clients alike.”
