Designer Parfums acquires Jean Patou brand from P&G Prestige

INTERNATIONAL. Designer Parfums has completed the acquisition of the Jean Patou business from P&G Prestige.

Designer Parfums said: “The acquisition of Jean Patou is in line with Designer Parfums global strategy to develop and distribute iconic luxury fragrances and maximize the potential marketing opportunities across a wider marketplace.

“The vision for the development of Jean Patou is part of Designer Parfums Managing Director, Dilesh Mehta’s overall strategy to work with and nurture some of the finest and most recognisable brands in the fragrance industry.”

Mehta said: “I am truly delighted and excited by this great addition to our collection of brands. We will re-affirm the Jean Patou heritage and credentials across our global markets and reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading fragrance houses.

“Jean Patou has a unique and specialised image and equity. A niche market expert such as Designer Parfums is ideally placed to ensure the brand fulfils its commercial potential.”

Jean Patou’s stable of fragrances will be reproduced in line with original formulations, bottles, packaging and imagery.

Designer Parfums is a company within the Shaneel Enterprises Group which specialises in the creation and development of luxury fragrances. Brands currently owned or licensed to the Shaneel Enterprises Group include Agent Provocateur, Jean Louis Scherrer, Aigner Parfums and Worth.

Designer Parfums will shortly announce plans for the further development of the brand.
