CHINA. DFS Group is showcasing the spring collections of Valentino and Versace at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
As reported, DFS Group and the Sino-Singapore Chongqing Airport Commercial Management Co jointly inaugurated the DFS Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Boutiques in the domestic Terminal 3A in September, 2023.
The stores are located in the expansive, multi-brand and multi-retailer zone, the Starry Galleria. DFS Group’s retail footprint at the Chongqing gateway covers more than 2,000sq m, one of Mainland China’s largest airport shopping spaces.
The Chongqing project represents a seminal development in DFS’s 64-year history – the first concession the travel retailer has won on the Chinese Mainland in a domestic terminal, as reported.
DFS Chongqing Jiangbei Airport houses over 30 international brands across 18 stores in men’s and women’s ready to wear, jewellery, watches and accessories.
Valentino is highlighting its colourful spring collections, which blend haute couture with a travel sensibility. Versace is highlighting its Italian heritage, tailoring and style with its romantic spring collections.
Valentino product highlights include the Freedots low-cut calfskin sneakers; V Logo Moon Hobo Reversible Tote Bag, which offers a detachable shoulder strap design; and the V Logo Moon Mini Chain Handbag, designed with an oval shape and gold hardware.
Other highlights include a hand-stitched denim logo shirt, a tweed embroidered short dress with V-shaped details and a couture dress in crepe inspired by an archival Valentino piece from 1959.
Versace has released Year of the Dragon-themed trousers and bomber jacket, which feature dragon embroidery alongside the Versace logo. The style was especially designed to celebrate Lunar New Year.
Other Versace product highlights include the Odissea Sneakers, which feature futuristic and dynamic design elements; a men’s slim-fit double-breasted blazer designed with the brand’s Barocco pattern; and the Greca Goddess Bag, which features the Italian house’s Greek key pattern on the hardware.
At the Chongqing gateway, DFS Group is taking travellers on an omnichannel journey which provides a seamless online-to-offline shopping experience.
