INTERNATIONAL. DFS recently announced its 2010 Global Management Award winners.
This programme, established in 2005, honours the best individual or team worldwide with noteworthy achievements in support of the company’s strategic direction.
Eleven categories in the Global Awards extend over Group, Division, Stores/Airports, and project teams, and reach out to different functions within the company.
At the beginning of each year, nominations are collected from senior executives before the winners are selected.
The awards were presented at the Executive Committee dinner in Hong Kong on May 11.
A highlight of this year’s programme was the recognition of the contribution towards industry charity Hand in Hand for Haiti, with Chairman and CEO Ed Brennan and Vice President Worldwide Store Development Kevin Tranbarger jointly receiving the Lighthouse Award – given to good citizens, who have given tirelessly to the community.
