Diageo invites Taoyuan travellers into its Johnnie Walker House

TAIWAN. Diageo Global Travel & Middle East’s Johnnie Walker House at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2 is now fully operational. Its official opening was in September 2014. As previously reported, the showcase store is designed to educate travellers through engaging brand experiences.

The Striding Man greets travellers at the Johnnie Walker House entrance

Described as a multi-sensory embassy for luxury blended Scotch whiskies, the store offers travellers the opportunity to purchase rare, luxury whiskies only available in Johnnie Walker Houses. These include the John Walker & Sons Master Blenders Collection, Alexander Walker and Sir Alexander Walker Editions, as well as the Commemorative 1949 Edition.

In addition, the Taoyuan Airport Johnnie Walker House incorporates a deluxe tasting bar, where specialist brand ambassadors take travellers on a sensorial journey to touch, taste and smell the elements that make up Johnnie Walker. There is also an option to purchase an engraved Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle.

Travellers are invited to immerse themselves in the brand’s history, and sample its liquids

Other store highlights include a luxury blending zone, where travellers can immerse themselves in the flavours and aromas of Johnnie Walker whiskies through interactive digital technology, and a heritage wall that brings to life the Johnnie Walker journey from Scotland to Taiwan, where it first traded in 1925.

Lastly, the store offers travellers the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition Big Bang Aero Johnnie Walker House watch. This was created in partnership with luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Hublot, exclusively for Johnnie Walker Houses.
