Dior and The Shilla Duty Free dazzle at Singapore Changi Airport with Circus of Magical Dreams pop-up

The big top: Acrobats, contortionists and trapeze artists feature throughout the animation, which is centred on a rotating Christmas tree

SINGAPORE. The House of Dior, in partnership with The Shilla Duty Free and Changi Airport Group, has made a high-profile return to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 with the launch of holiday pop-up.

Created exclusively for Changi Airport, The Circus of Magical Dreams activation places Dior’s beauty and fragrance heroes at the heart of a theatrical seasonal celebration.

The pop-up’s centrepiece is a giant animated Dior Christmas tree – described as the only moving holiday tree in Asia Pacific travel retail. The Christmas tree is adorned with acrobats, animals and playful circus motifs, all illuminated by the House’s signature star. The kinetic installation acts as a visual anchor and gateway to the animation.

A star-studded corridor leads into a series of circus-themed beauty and fragrance experiences. Dior’s pillar fragrances – J’adore, Miss Dior and Sauvage – feature prominently at the heart of the animation, while Dior Prestige is showcased in a dedicated skincare zone.

A Beauty Fitting area offers personalised skincare consultations using the Dior skincare analyser, alongside festive cosmetic services featuring the limited-edition Holiday Makeup Collection. Designed by Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director Peter Philips, the range introduces two hero looks for the season: the Holiday Spectacular Plum Look and the Holiday Spectacular Fiery Look.

Travellers can shop Dior’s holiday gift assortments and experience an immersive presentation of La Collection Privée, a prestige perfumery line that highlights the brand’s luxury fragrance craftsmanship.

Travellers receive a Dior greeting card as a final flourish at the experience. When misted with a Dior fragrance, the card reveals a hidden surprise, extending the magic beyond the airport.

With qualifying purchases, shoppers can also personalise a Dior star wreath as a festive keepsake. The activation is further animated by live magic shows during peak holiday travel dates.

The Circus of Magical Dreams pop-up was officially opened on 11 December with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by executives from Dior, The Shilla Duty Free and Changi Airport Group.

House fragrances, including J’adore, Miss Dior and Sauvage, lead the olfactory parade, with a special focus on La Collection Privée

The Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo turns ultra-matte colour into high-shine sparkle with a two-step, illusion-inspired formula

Dior collaborated with Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, a long-standing creative partner of the House, to design an exclusive festive pattern for its Christmas 2025 collection.

Ruffo’s packaging design depicts a lively circus parade of trapeze artists and acrobats performing beneath a star, rendered in gold, silver and pink tones.

This artwork features across Dior’s gift packaging. Each box is customisable and finished with a white ribbon adorned with golden stars and tied in signature bows, such as the Fontange, Dagger or Butterfly. Select ribbons can be embellished with four exclusive golden ornaments inspired by circus motifs and the fashion House’s design codes.

Anchoring the seasonal offer is the Circus of Dreams Holiday Makeup collection. Conceived by Philips, the line reinterprets Dior’s hero beauty products through the lens of a circus fantasy. Gold-toned cases, flamboyant colours and illusion-inspired formulas define the range.

The hero product is the limited-edition Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo, a double-ended liquid lipstick that transforms from ultra-matte to ultra-shine finishes. One end delivers a pigmented, no-transfer colour shade.

When the lips are pressed together, the shade reveals a glittering sequin effect, completed with a universal high-shine gloss on the other end.

The eight-shade range includes the 999 red alongside seven new hues. These are 747 Flame, a flamboyant brick; 720 Spectacular Icone, a brick red; 881 Carousel, a deep red; 520 Illusionist, a rosy beige; 420 Pink Star, a tender pink; 220 Ribbons, a rosy nude; and the signature House nude, 100 Spectacular Nude.

“This amazing formula was inspired by our Rouge Dior Sequin, which went viral on social media for creating an explosion of glitter when lips are pressed together,” Philips explained. “Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo goes even further thanks to the gloss end, developed to add maximum shine without smudging the glitter.”

The collection also features a limited-edition Dior Forever Cushion case, showcasing an enchanted Cannage motif (a criss-cross Dior pattern) accented by the Dior star. Compatible with multiple Dior Forever cushion refills, the couture case is positioned as a collectible holiday piece.

Completing the range, Diorshow 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes are presented in two festive colourways, Plum Parade and Fiery Circus, housed in golden collector’s cases adorned with the House’s signature Cannage and star detailing. Creamy, long-wear textures allow for looks ranging from subtle to statement, aligning with the collection’s theatrical spirit.

“The circus is a never-ending source of inspiration,” explained Philips. “Its swirl of colours and sequins takes you back to a childhood world inhabited by magicians, trapeze artists and tightrope walkers performing for a wide-eyed audience.”
