CHINA. LVMH-owned luxury and beauty house Dior has partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to open a striking standalone boutique at the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex. It opened on 28 October.
The boutique occupies 232sq m and marks Dior’s biggest ever store in global travel retail.
The store offers the luxury house’s fragrance, makeup and skincare lines, delivering an immersion into the Dior brand universe.
Constructed with luxury materials and finishings, the minimalist store design honours the elegant house codes of founder, Christian Dior, said the brand owner.
La Collection Privée
Notably, the store features a dedicated ‘La Collection Privée’ boutique beside the main store.
La Collection Privée showcases Dior’s luxury fragrance lines and pays homage to the maison’s love of perfume and gifting. The opening marks travel retail’s first La Collection Privée flagship, which was designed with the theme ‘More Luxurious, Warm and Generous’.
La Collection Privée is a collection of 22 fragrances, which every scent offering its own trail and character. Highlights include Lucky, Rose Kabuki, La Colle Noire, Gris Dior, Holy Peony, Rouge Trafalgar, Sakura, Spice Blend and Vanilla Diorama.
The scents are available as perfumes, candles, soaps, body creams and perfumed silk scarves and are showcased in the boutique through sensorial experiences.
Complimentary engraving services are available with the purchase of selected La Collection Privée fragrances.
Dior’s brightest stars
The boutique offers a curated selection of Dior’s best-selling lines in fragrance, makeup and skincare. In fragrances, Dior’s J’Adore and Miss Dior lines are offered alongside its Sauvage men’s fragrance. They are brought to life through sensorial interactive elements at the boutique.
The makeup counter underscores the beauty expertise of Dior Creative and Image Director Peter Philips and houses best-selling lines such as Rouge Dior and Dior Forever. Dior Beauty Consultants are on-hand to offer personalised makeup tips and help customers find their perfect shades.
Dior’s skincare lines are housed in a dedicated space. Notable lines include Dior Prestige, Capture Totale and L’Or De Vie, which offer a luxury skincare experience. Dior skincare travel retail exclusives are also available in this zone.
Notably, the boutique offers a dedicated skincare alcove that offers personalised skin consultations and aesthetic treatments. The treatments integrate the brand’s latest aesthetic technologies, such as the Dior Skincare Scanner, with Dior’s luxury skincare products.
