French fragrance house Diptyque has introduced Orphéon Eau de Toilette, the latest addition to its Orphéon fragrance line.
Launching in global travel retail on 18 February, the release is accompanied by new fragrance formats and decorative objects.
Orphéon takes its name from the former jazz club located next to Diptyque’s original boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The venue was a meeting place for artists and intellectuals during the 1960s and remains a key reference point in the brand’s collections today.
In 2021, Diptyque introduced Orphéon Eau de Parfum, devised by perfumer Olivier Pescheux as an olfactory tribute to the club.
Created by perfumer Natalie Cetto, Orphéon Eau de Toilette opens with citrus notes, including green tangerine and Japanese yuzu, followed by a spicy accord of juniper berries, pink peppercorn and ginger.
This is followed by a floral rose and magnolia heart and a base featuring cedarwood and musk.

The bottle features a label by Diptyque collaborator Italian artist Gianpaolo Pagni, whose illustration features on a furnishing fabric designed by the brand’s founders, Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Gautrot and Yves Coueslant. The reverse of the bottle features a stylised artwork of three silhouettes that pay homage to the trio.
In addition, Diptyque is expanding the Orphéon line with three new body formats: a Scented Body Lotion, a Perfumed Hair Mist and a Scented Hand Cream in travel-friendly size.

The launch is accompanied by additions to Diptyque’s decorative collection, produced using the brand’s Terre Mêlée (marbled clay) technique and inspired by airborne smoke curls.
New items include candle stands, lids and trays in multiple sizes, each crafted by hand using contrasting black and white porcelain slips to create distinctive marbled patterns. The pieces are left unglazed, resulting in a matte, natural finish. ✈
