Diptyque has partnered with British artist Lucy Sparrow to create a vibrant and whimsical holiday collection, blending the Maison’s craftsmanship with Sparrow’s felt-based artistry. It is now available in selected Diptyque stores in global travel retail.
Known for her hand-sewn felt replicas of everyday objects, Sparrow has reimagined Diptyque’s festive offerings with a playful aesthetic.
Diptyque’s Christmas candles take centre stage in this collection. The Sapin (Pine Tree) candle combines Siberian pine and balsam fir, enhanced with cedar and Indonesian patchouli, evoking the scent of a freshly cut tree.
The Étoile (Star) candle offers a woody, floral blend of sandalwood, mimosa and iris, housed in a midnight-blue glass. The Friandise (Sweet Treat) candle captures the warmth of gingerbread with cinnamon, star anise, candied orange and vanilla, presented in deep-red glass.
Each candle features a felt version of Diptyque’s classic label to mark the collaboration. A limited-edition Christmas Tree candle lantern and a star-shaped Baies candle carousel set are also available.
In addition, Diptyque’s Do Son, Fleur de Peau and Orphéon eau de parfums have been reimagined in limited-edition festive packaging.
Other limited-edition product highlights include a felt Holiday Cheer Sleeve shaped like a Christmas tree, a Holiday Cheer Candle, a Lucy Sparrow Stocking and decorative ceramic box.
An extra-large Sapin candle, housed in a deep-green enamel vessel speckled with gold by French artisan factory Virebent, adds further luxury to the range. The pine motif also features in a scented advent taper candle.
The collection includes an advent calendar styled as a sewing box, a nod to Sparrow’s felt craft. It contains 25 gifts, including the festive candles in exclusive formats, fragrances and decorative pieces such as pendants and miniature candles.
Sparrow’s festive motifs – pine trees, stars, gingerbread men and stockings – appear throughout the collection, adorning porcelain lids, felt stockings and hand-blown glass baubles.
Four felt-based three-dimensional pieces, including the pine tree and gingerbread man, are available in limited editions of 200 pieces each exclusively at 40 Diptyque boutiques worldwide. These handcrafted works are signed by the artist, making them collector’s items for the season. ✈
