Lifestyle brand Dock & Bay, whose products are made from recycled materials, has gained B-Corp certification. The offer includes include towels, tote bags, accessories, beachwear and makeup removers. Its stated mission is to “make the world brighter, one quick-dry towel at a time”,
Dock & Bay is represented in travel retail by TR Partners*. Its Founder and Managing Director Vincent McDermott noted that an estimated 66% of consumers are seeking eco-friendly travel products.
As reported, Dock & Bay made its travel retail debut last year with listings with ARI in airport stores in Canada and Cyprus and has also collaborated with Harding+ to feature on cruise ships. According to McDermott, Dock & Bay are “looking to hit the ground running in the run up to a busy summer season”.
Dock & Bay towels are available in over 50 designs and are odourless, sand-free and big enough to cover a sun lounger but compact enough to fit in a weekend bag. Each towel is made from material from 25 recycled plastic bottles.
The brand has extended its 2023 travel range with large picnic blankets and foldable tote bags. All packaging is sustainable and biodegradable.
“The Dock & Bay product line-up is perfect for travel retail, with a range that truly targets the travelling customer,” McDermott said.
“The challenge in global travel retail is conversion. Customers at airports, on cruises or airlines travel first and shop second. By developing a compelling offer, conversion is enhanced, and total spend increases driving value for a retailer.
“By targeting the travelling customer, B-Corp certified Dock & Bay differentiates and adds value to a retailer’s fashion and accessories core assortment. The aim of differentiation is to grow the total fashion/accessories category with innovation instead of taking sales away from another brand. We are delighted to be able to represent a brand that does exactly that.”
