Dubai Airports launches tender for luggage shipping service

UAE. Dubai International is to launch a luggage shipping service for passengers who do not wish to pay excess baggage fees.

The dedicated courier service will also be able to ship documents.

Dubai Airports has invited luggage shipping service providers to submit bids to operate two units in the departures check-in area of Terminal 1.

Dubai International is ranked number one globally in terms of international passenger traffic.

Tender documents must be downloaded electronically. The key email contact address is: commercial.tenders@dubaiairports.ae.

Bids must be submitted by 30 September.

Dubai International is expected to handle 90.2 million passengers in 2018. Work is underway to expand the airport’s capacity to 118 million passengers by 2023 under a technology and process improvement programme.
