UAE. Henrik Stenson was not the only winner when the Dubai Desert Classic came to an exciting finale yesterday at the Emirates Golf Club.
After keeping his cool on the final hole to beat Ernie Els by one stroke and lift the trophy, the Dubai-based Swede, accompanied by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Colm McLoughlin, announced the winner of a Mercedes Benz S500 (Iridium Silver) in the Dubai Duty Free Desert Classic Surprise Promotion.
Holding the winning ticket, number 0341 in series 1276, was Mr Ummer, from India.
Also present at the draw was Dubai Duty Free’s Deputy Managing Director George Horan and Manager – Events, Advertising & Media Relations Sinead El Sibai.
Dubai Duty Free’s next sporting event is the Dubai Tennis Championships which takes place at the Dubai Tennis Stadium from 19 February to 3 March.
