UAE. In celebration of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad (2 December), Dubai Duty Free held a vibrant programme of activities for its employees at its Head Office in Umm Ramool on Wednesday (27 November).
The celebration brought together all departments to honour the union of the seven emirates and showcase the UAE’s cultural heritage. Part of the company’s warehouse was converted into an Arabic Majlis for the festivities. The event was formally opened by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi and Deputy Managing Director Salah Tahlak.
Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day), commemorates the historic union of the seven emirates. The event, formerly known as UAE Eid Al Etihad, was renamed this year to reflect the nation’s enduring commitment to unity and progress. The rebranding aligns with the UAE’s founding values and its vision to foster a welcoming environment for citizens and visitors alike.
The programme featured a range of authentic Emirati exhibitions and activities that highlighted the UAE’s rich traditions, history and architecture.
Employees enjoyed live displays of Emirati culture, including Arabic calligraphy, henna decoration, falconry and traditional cuisine. F&B highlights included a live halwa station and an Emirati-inspired ice cream station.
The celebrations extended to the main office reception and first floor, both decorated with Emirati-themed motifs.
Cidambi commented: “On the occasion of the 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad, we take pride in what this country has achieved over the years and this celebration is a perfect way of recognising what the UAE has given to all of us. Thanks to our HR team for organising this authentic celebration of UAE traditions.” ✈
