UAE. Dubai Duty Free has been recognised for its support of the Dubai Awards for Sustainable Transport (DAST) for the third consecutive year. The awards, organised by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), aim to educate and encourage the community to play an active role in sustainable transport.
Now in its fifth year, the 2013 event was held on 19 February at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Dubai Duty Free is a Gold Sponsor of the awards.
The awards’ patron, Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made a presentation to Dubai Duty Free Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Salah Tahlak.
Tahlak said: “We are proud to support this great initiative which is in line with our commitment in reducing the environmental impact and provide a safe and environmentally friendly environment for our employees and customers. We believe that by supporting DAST, we are able to make a significant positive step towards a greener future for the UAE.”
