MACAU. On 6 May Duty Free Americas (DFA) and L’Oréal Luxury Products Division-owned Scental Travel Retail (Asia Pacific) celebrated the Grand Opening of the first DFA/Lancôme beauty store in Asia at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.

This store includes the largest L’Oréal Luxury Products Division (LPD) Lancôme travel retail boutique in the world.

The gala event was hosted by Jerome and Leon Falic, CEO and President respectively of DFA, and Scental General Manager Rémi Chadapaux.

The new store is a joint venture between DFA and Scental, which collaborated in store design, as well as sales and marketing strategies.

The outlet offers customers the full range of cosmetics from major brands such as Lancôme, Biotherm, Shu Uemura, Helena Rubinstein, Yue Sai and Yves Saint Laurent, with fragrances from Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren.

Scental noted: “Because this elegant store caters to clients from the PRC and other parts of Asia who are increasingly demonstrating a demand for luxury products, both DFA and Scental expect that it will perform extremely well.

“The store offers a stylish ambience and a wide range of premium brands, and its excellent high traffic location in the main entrance to the west lobby of The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel ensures high visibility and easy access. Marketing strategies will foster the vision of a highly successful first-in-the-world luxury beauty store.”

The grand event was attended by 250 guests, including Andrew Wylegala, Chief Commercial Consul from the American Consulate in Hong Kong; Stephen Weaver, President – Asian Region for Las Vegas Sands Corp; and Glen McAnulty, Executive Director – Mall Management for Sands Retail Asia.
