CHINA. China Duty Free Group (CDFG) has opened its latest concept store at M8, a landmark building in Macau’s historic centre. The cdf Macau Rua Nova Store introduces a strong luxury offer and shopping services into the site in the UNESCO World Heritage zone, described by the retailer as an “East-meets-West cultural destination”.
M8 represents “an urban regeneration benchmark”, noted CDFG, on that integrates “historical preservation and modern commerce”.



Formerly the Communications Bureau staff quarters, the heritage site is encircled by eight UNESCO landmarks within a 100m radius. CDFG stated: “This architectural redevelopment strictly adheres to local culture, respects historical context, and has become a living microcosm of Macau’s heritage.”
CDFG said its presence “leverages its formidable international brand network and retail expertise to create a dazzling matrix of global labels at M8. This synergy not only reinforces M8’s status as Central Macau’s premier luxury destination but also offers residents and visitors an extraordinary seamless luxury experience.

The new cdf Rua Nova Store features beauty, fashion & accessories, wines & spirits, speciality foods, travel accessories, electronics and toys.
Notably, the store pioneers a ‘China Chic’ zone spotlighting sought-after Chinese products, offering them at preferential prices to Macau customers.








The store has established an exclusive CDF Membership Center to serve members with tailored shopping benefits, travel perks and dining privileges. Advantages include:
