Duty Free Holdings and DF Express partner to launch John Wayne Airport’s first-ever duty-free store

USA. Duty Free Holdings has partnered DF Express to establish the first-ever duty-free store at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. Named La Boutique, the 735sq ft shop will open later his month (30 May).

The store has been created as the airport widens its commercial set up to cater for a growing base of international passengers.

Located post-security in Terminal B, La Boutique is a woman- and minority-owned joint venture business, which the owners said reflects John Wayne County Airport’s commitment to diversity. The brand also has a store at Miami International Airport.

The La Boutique store will feature numerous big-name beauty brands and has a design featuring strong gold details

Shoppers at the new store will have access to an extensive collection of high-end products, including sparkling wines & spirits from brands such as Johnnie Walker and Dom Perignon, and beauty products from the likes of Chanel, Estée Lauder and Hermès.

The store will run a ‘click and collect’ programme, which will allow customers to pre-order items online (laboutiqueairports.com) and pick them up at the gate before their flight.
