EUROPE. Digital marketplace solutions provider Omnevo has been selected by easyJet as its partner for ancillary and inflight retail ecommerce. It will introduce the first phase of the airline’s new pre-order and pre-select offerings across its ‘Eat, Drink, Shop & Duty Free’ range this autumn.
It will also roll out other ancillary services such as destination experiences, home delivery and expanded retail content via a full marketplace approach.
Working in close collaboration with catering operator dnata and inflight services specialist Retail in Motion, Omnevo said it is seeking to elevate easyJet’s digital ancillary offer and to deliver premium passenger experiences and revenue growth.
easyJet Head of Inflight Retail Partner Management June Fisher commented: “Omnevo’s cutting-edge ecommerce technology and expertise in the ancillary space will help us to enhance our customer experience and revenue streams. We are confident that this partnership will bring significant benefits to both our passengers and our business.”
easyJet Director of Inflight Retail Simon Cox added: “Omnevo’s ability to work with a variety of clients with different operational needs was a key factor in our decision to partner with them. We believe that their unique approach to digital retailing will help us to meet the needs of our customers and continue to drive our business forward.”
Omnevo noted that this is a beginning of a long-term partnership with the airline to create a seamless, user-friendly ancillary and retail ecommerce experience for its customers.
Omnevo VP of Sales Paul Bilham said: “We’re delighted to welcome easyJet. They are well-positioned to leverage the current recovery. We’re witnessing compelling signs of the market’s resurgence, with strong momentum, and it’s encouraging to see more airlines like easyJet embracing collaborations that seamlessly integrate with their existing systems.” ✈
