Electronics retailer Capi opens latest store at Oslo Airport

Capi’s latest store opens in domestic Departures at Oslo Gardermoen Airport

NORWAY. Leading electronics travel retailer Capi has opened a 140sq m shop in the domestic Departures hall at Oslo Airport. The store features the company’s new fascia – Capi The Travellers Electronics Company – launched last year. It follows on from the opening of a 170sq m store, in the International Terminal, in March.

The new store is said to showcase Capi’s seven marketing concepts, and offers improved navigation and passenger flow. Photo and outdoor products and accessories are strategically placed near the entrance to attract domestic travellers.

Royal Capi-Lux CEO Peter Wiggers commented: “The domestic shop is well designed and a good example of putting our new marketing concept into practice. We pay great attention to detail, whether on the brands we showcase, on the visual merchandising we apply or the service we give; it all has to be perfect. Our concept is structured and well thought-out, which makes building new shops easier. I’m very satisfied with this shop.”

Capi Manager for Norway Maaikel Reiber added: “I’m very pleased with the result. Everyone has worked very hard on this shop and it shows. These two new-style Capi shops take electronics retailing at Oslo Airport to a higher level, and I am convinced travellers will be pleasantly surprised by the look-and-feel of this shop.”

Oslo Airport Gardermoen Commercial Director Espen Ettre concluded: “The importance of electronics at airports should not be underestimated. Capi’s new shop concept is well developed and we are looking forward to an extended co-operation with Capi.”

The new unit is branded under the fascia – Capi The Travellers Electronics Company
