Elizabeth Arden has unveiled a new feminine fragrance from singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. The successor to Wonderstruck Taylor Swift – claimed to be one of the best-selling celebrity scents in 2011 – Taylor by Taylor Swift is described as a “playfully sophisticated” fragrance.
“[It] is a mix of a lot of things – it’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in – it’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume,” the seven-time Grammy Award winner explained.
The juice opens on notes of lychee, tangerine and magnolia, building to a floral heart of peonies, hydrangeas and vanilla orchids. The base is anchored with a blend of sandalwood, apricot nectar, cashmere musk and woods.
The flacon aims to evoke Swift’s signature style of retro with a modern twist, Arden maintains. Pearls (inspired by a necklace of Swift’s) decorate the brightly-coloured bottle neck, which is topped with a faceted cap.
The Taylor by Taylor Swift collection comprises 50ml and 100ml edp sprays, a 200ml body lotion, a 124ml Scented Hair Mist and a 10ml Eau de Parfum rollerball. The recommended domestic price points range from US$20 to US$59.50.
