Australian jewellery brand Equss has announced the opening of its first concept store at Muscat International Airport in Oman today (17 February 2012).
The new 511sq ft stand-alone boutique is located at the Departures area after immigration. To celebrate its new opening, a crystal heart-shaped pendant will be given to customers who purchase any item in the shop.
Starting from a small counter at the airport, Equss has been co-operating successfully with Muscat Duty Free (Oman Sales & Services LLC) for the last five years, the company said.
“The new store is slightly different from what we have now, with the same elegance and style, yet brighter and fresher in colour and design,” explained Equss Managing Director Alex Chaves. “It reflects our brand’s luxury lifestyle with a more fashion-forward direction.”
He added: “The new store will be a significant milestone for Equss. Together with the successful opening of a 25sq m stand-alone store at Sharjah Airport, our brand has proved it can provide good revenue to our partner. We expect to expand our business further and encourage more operators to partner with us.”
The Muscat store will carry nearly the entire line of Equss jewellery and watches, featuring a range of products from US$39 for a sterling silver pendant to the best-selling Phoenix collection retailing at US$249 for the necklace and US$139 for the earrings.
In addition to jewellery and watches, a leathergoods collection will be available in the Muscat store.
