Three handcrafted signature scents inspired by spice, vanilla and saffron make up the Essenze Spice Collection, a new range from Ermenegildo Zegna Parfums.
Indian Spice is a gourmand blend of cardamom, coriander and star anise intended to capture the exoticism of Madurai and the beaches of Goa. The fragrance is rounded out with a floral heart and a masculine, woody base of cedarwood, oud and patchouli.
Persian Saffron celebrates the most expensive spice in the world with its heart of saffron. Together with top notes of cultivated bergamot, this fragrance is intended to be “dynastic, powerful and effervescent”.
Bourbon Vanilla mixes the warm aroma of vanilla bean with bold vetiver and ginger. Middle notes of cassis, cypriol and Turkish rose combine to create a fragrance of freshness and modernity to complement the ‘Zegna man’.
The Essenze Spice collection will be available from this month at select travel retail locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Ermenegildo Zegna Acqua Di Iris (above) is a new male fragrance designed for the “sophisticated and confident Zegna man”. Its freshness is intended to conjure up a Mediterranean breeze and “the carefree spirit of the Italian coast”, the brand said.
Described as a new and fresh interpretation of the original Acqua Di Bergamotto, Acqua Di Iris is a fragrance grounded in Italian-style luxury, combining modernity, sophistication and sensuality with a nod to tradition.
With “purposeful simplicity” the elements of the fragrance complement the facets of the iris flower. Top notes of bergamot and violet leaves deliver a citrus freshness deepened with elements of spice while a heart of sleek woods and cistus labdanum absolute is softened by musk.
