GERMANY. German fashion house Escada displayed its specially packaged inflight collection as well as innovative fold-up travel bags at last week’s TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore.
The inflight range consists of two bags and two purses and is packaged in boxes with transparent windows on the front. Product information appears on the outside. The company’s circular-shaped, multi-coloured Roll bag retails at €175 inflight.
The sporty, casual Escada Sport collection boasted the new fold-up e-shopa range of leather-trimmed canvas and nylon travel bags. “These bags fold up neatly inside suitcases, so they are ideal for travellers,” said Escada Sales Manager Accessories Isabel Underberg. The mini e-shopa retails at €190 while the larger version is €225.
In the Escada main line, new mini Elouna bags for autumn/winter 2005 were shown. Other additions to the popular Elouna range were evening bags available in satin, adorned with crystals, and in python.
Small leathergoods with top-stitching and stamped logo details included business card holders, coin purses, purses and notebook. Also on display were sunglasses made by De Rigo of Italy and silk scarves in myriad colours manufactured by renowned Italian firm Ratti.
Launched last year, the Escada Mini line for children and babies aged from 0 to 12 was updated with a colourful fresh look for autumn/winter 2005.
