Estée Lauder has extended its eye offer with a multi-tasking Little Black Primer, described as the Little Black Dress of lashes. The product is rolling out into travel retail worldwide this month.
The Little Black Primer can be used in three ways: as a normal primer base; a lightweight ‘weekend’ mascara; or a water-resistant topcoat.
When used as a primer, the product creates a long-wearing foundation for regular mascara, and reduces flaking and smudging, according to Lauder. It also prepares lashes with conditioners, and gives pigments a clean canvas to improve the integrity of the mascara shade – making blacks and browns look richer, and brighter colours pop.
When used alone, the Little Black Primer delivers a long-lasting natural look, even overnight, with subtle curl, length and volume, the brand maintains.
When used as a topcoat, its sets mascara, improving its wear by adding a lightweight, water-resistant sealant. The recommended UK domestic price-point is £20 (US$30)
