CHINA. Ever Rich Duty Free has launched an online shop on Chinese e-commerce portal Tmall Global.
Products featured include fashion bags and Taiwan specialties such as pineapple cake, bubble tea pastry, and beef noodle peanut, most are Ever Rich exclusives.
The store has opened in time for China’s popular Double Eleven shopping festival (which takes place on 11 November) with Ever Rich Duty Free aiming to increase its reach with Mainland Chinese consumers. The company has been promoting the festival by providing a free delivery service and releasing one product with a special promotional price every day in the build-up to 11 November.

Tmall says more than 40,000 merchants and 30,000 brands are taking part in Double Eleven this year, including more than 5,000 overseas brands from 25 countries and regions like Europe, the US, Japan and South Korea.
The online shop launch follows Ever Rich Duty Free’s unveiling of an e-commerce website – Go Rich – for customers in Asia in 2014, which marked the company’s first steps in online retail.
Ever Rich Duty Free noted the growing importance of e-commerce, asserting its belief that more than 50% of purchases made by customers will soon involve interactions with the company in two channels.
