Ever Rich Duty Free has hosted an array of holiday festivities including a charity caroling event dubbed ‘Melody of Love – Christmas Caroling’ at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The event is part of the travel retailer’s commitment to supporting underprivileged groups, inspired by its ‘public service-oriented, benefiting the public’ mantra. It featured a performance by the Ben Gang Elementary School Choir from the rural area of Taoyuan County, as well as a 15-minute Christmas medley by another group.
Ben Gang Elementary School is a rural school with fewer than 100 students due to geographical constraints. It introduced its choir six years ago to encourage a positive self-identity through performances both within and outside the school.
The company noted its deep involvement in social welfare, “aiming to spread love to those in need, especially during the Christmas season”.
In addition, the travel retailer donated funds to the school as part of its mission to give back to the community.
Ever Rich Duty Free President Kevin Chiang said: “It’s heartening to once again be able to spend a warm Christmas with travellers after three years of COVID-19 challenges. We’re immensely grateful for the continuous support from Taoyuan Airport Corporation and related entities.
“Ever Rich will continue to uphold a customer-centric approach, consistently enhancing the traveller experience, steadfast in our commitment to social welfare. We also look forward to further collaboration with Taoyuan International Airport in the future, aiming to achieve more successes on the international stage.”

The retailer has also organised other festive activities at its airport locations where it hopes to bring passengers fond holiday memories from Taiwan.
Ever Rich has installed the tallest eight-metre Christmas tree at the departure area of Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2, making it the main holiday attraction at the travel gateway.
To create a holiday-themed photo opportunity for travellers, the company set up Christmas decorations and scenes featuring GingerBrave from popular mobile game CookieRun at Terminals 1 and 2.
Ever Rich also invited Santa Claus and ‘Christmas girls’, who gave out candies to passengers.

On the day of the event, Chiang joined officials from aviation police, customs, and immigration, as well as Taoyuan Airport Corporation Chairman Wei-fu Yang and CEO Hsiao-lun Fan in marking the occasion. They expressed hopes for Taoyuan Airport’s international passenger traffic to exceed 40 million in 2024. ✈
