Ever Rich Duty Free wows with new Hello Kitty and Lego boutiques and towering books and liquor stores

Ever Rich Duty Free has responded to an accelerating post-pandemic passenger traffic recovery by opening several new stores and restaurants at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

Since the government opened its borders to international travellers and ended its strict quarantine policy on 13 October, Ever Rich said the airport has witnessed a surge of tourists.

Taoyuan International Airport Corporation’s data for March shows that travel volume has recovered to 60% of the pre-pandemic level, indicating a promising future for the airport’s retail sector, Ever Rich noted.

The highlight of the renovation programme is a Hello Kitty themed store in Terminal 2 (C2 Gate). The dazzling pink-hued Hello Kitty and Friends themed shop offers over 1,000 items featuring not only Hello Kitty but also other popular Sanrio characters, such as Pom Pom Purin, Kero Kero Keroppi, Badtz Maru, and more.

The Hello Kitty characters and memorabilia are much-loved across many parts of Asia

The offer includes Hello Kitty cookware, aprons, and home accessories as well as trendy mobile phone peripherals. Airport limited-edition souvenirs include Hello Kitty tea-flavored pastries.

In addition to the Hello Kitty themed shop, Ever Rich Duty Free has rolled out a mini Hello Kitty themed playground, located right next to the shop.

This playground features a bus-shaped slide and an interactive motion-sensing game zone, providing an ideal place for young children travelling with their parents to play before boarding. The adjacent Hello Kitty waiting lounge has also been refurbished.
