Exclusive – Clarins unveils key organisational evolution; Alexandre Callens to head Global Travel Retail, Christian Laurent named President of Future Growth Markets

Independent French skincare, makeup and wellbeing house Clarins SAS today announced several organisational evolutions to support its strategic plan – Clarins Unlimited – with the ambition to become the global skincare authority and capture growth opportunities, all supported by strong commitments towards responsible beauty.

Effective 1 January 2021, Clarins will put in place a new Global Travel Retail division to support growth ambitions in the channel and better respond to continuously evolving travellers’ expectations.

Singapore-based Alexandre Callens: Asia the centre of travel retail gravity

Alexandre Callens, currently General Manager of Travel Retail APAC, will become Global Travel Retail President, based in Singapore, reporting to Clarins President and CEO Jonathan Zrihen.

Christian Laurent, currently President of Global Travel Retail and Emerging Markets, has been appointed to the key new role of President of Future Growth Markets. He will focus on developing business in Latam, Northern Europe, Africa, and Middle East domestic markets with a particular emphasis on ramping up the digital footprint in these countries.
